Dr. Chong Ler

Dr. Chong Ler became a qualified dentist in 2015 after obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery from AIMST University. She was offered a place at the University Dental Hospital of Wales, affiliated to Cardiff University, United Kingdom to undertake a three-year full-time postgraduate orthodontic training programme.

In 2022, she completed the training program and attained her Masters Degree in Orthodontics with distinction to become a certified specialist in Orthodontics, registered as a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Dr. Chong Ler became a registered specialist with the National Specialist Registrar as a certified specialist orthodontist in 2023 (Specialist Registration Number: ORTHO178).

Her active involvement as an Honorary Treasurer in the Malaysian Dental Association Southern Zone suggests a commitment to the dental community and a willingness to contribute to the field beyond clinical practice. Additionally, being a member of both the British Orthodontic Society and the Malaysian Orthodontic Association indicates a dedication to staying informed about the latest developments in orthodontics on both the international and local levels.

Orthodontics interests Dr. Chong as it transcends the field of cosmetics. She defines orthodontics to be more like “Teeth Engineering”, where she acts as the designer to reposition each and every individual tooth to its optimum location based on the detailed assessments that she performs on her patients. Her attention to detail contributes to an everlasting output which results in commendable patient satisfaction. She commits herself to providing the most advanced and comprehensive orthodontic treatments for patients of all ages by offering a wide range of contemporary orthodontic braces and clear aligners to suit her patients’ requirements.
